Håber I morer jer derude :)

CustormerCare preview online

Finally I got the settings right, so my CustomerCare project can be previewed and tested online. The system is purely in Danish, and it requires a rather high resolution (1024×768 is too small), since it is only used on big monitors.

Right now you got access to almost everything, except sending mails from the system. When I have some test data in the system I will lock it from further edits. Until then, please be nice, and do not insert hateful data, remove all the data or do anything else that would harm the system or the other users of it.

CustomerCare can be shown on http://tomcat.rohdef.dk/CustomerCare

A little SQL joke over Bertel Haarder

Disclaimer: I do not sympathise with the journalist nor Bertel Haarder, I just got this idea to a database version of the famous clip.
Disclaimer nr 2.: A few of the statements are invented for the sake of getting more of the details into this.

// A dark and stormy night, before the famous interview the journalist talks to the spindoctor. The spindoctor afterwards triest to do use replication with our famous Bertel Haarder.

CustomerCare: my project at MarkOn A/S

I have been working on a new customer system for MarkOn A/S, while I was on my internship there. Even though it has technically ended, I am still finishing up some last details (I hate to leave a job half done).

The work I need to do before I can put it on the shelf if basically ending the open tasks. First off there is some details with Google Maps on the system and also a bit with some currently lost details. After that it is just documenting the parts that lack documentation and some last refactoring.

I have to admit I find it a bit sad having to close up the project. I see a lot of potential in it. Although I will still be doing bugfixes (I actually doubt it would actually be needed, but you can never be sure :) ). Therefore the project has officially been put on hold. Hopefully someone will want to employ me to continue development. Until then I will just have to be sad about leaving it there.

Good new is (yay! I love good news :D ) that now I can start on some private projects. One for maintaining my employed helpers and hopefully getting some demos of projects I have done online.

Welcome to Rohde’s world

I finally got this blog up and running, with a lot of specialized patching of WordPress. I will add a page with the technical details and instructions on how to get WordPress to run with PostgreSQL on your own setup.

So far enjoy this… rather empty page :)
